Sailor's Sailor Ocean Blue Limited Edition Fountain Pen Ink

Sailor's Sailor Ocean Blue Special Edition was created by master ink blender Osamu Ishimaru to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Sailor’s groundbreaking Ink Studio.

Since 2005, Sailor has hosted popular Ink Studio events across Japan, where customers eagerly queue to have their own custom ink colours blended by Ishimaru himself. Over the past 15 years, these events have produced more than 20,000 unique inks. In 2018, Sailor selected the 100 most beloved creations and introduced them as a permanent ink series.

At each event, Ishimaru dons a bartender-style uniform and uses a cocktail shaker to mix inks right before the customers’ eyes—a performance that has become part of the Ink Studio’s charm.

The Sailor's Sailor Ocean Blue Special Edition captures this spirit. Presented in a 50 mL bottle inspired by the bartender’s uniform, it comes complete with a commemorative anniversary card and an ink leaflet, making it a perfect keepsake for ink lovers.

This ink has been discontinued and is now difficult to find on the market.
